With over 15 years and thousands of hours of logged teaching and tutoring hours, I have extensive experience working with all manner of students, and catering to their specific needs. While I primarily focus on math and sciences, I also help extensively with standardized testing including AP courses, along with the SAT, ACT, GRE, AFOQT, GED, MCAT, and more.

During both my undergraduate and graduate training, I held numerous tutoring and teaching positions, both with the schools and privately. Among them, I worked for a physics professor as a researcher and a lab teaching assistant from February 2008 to July 2009 and was a science tutor for the on-campus tutoring service from October 2007 to July 2009 where I tutored algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, calculus, biology, genetics, general/organic/biochemistry, physics I and II, and cell and molecular biology. I tutored disabled students through both my undergraduate university and through the Texas Department of Rehabilitative and Assistive Services, from January 2009 to July 2009. During my graduate and post-graduate work, I’ve continued working in tutoring, including receiving a Florida teacher certification and meeting online and in-person. Most importantly, I work to connect with the student(s) on a more personal level to make them feel comfortable, and constantly and consistently endeavor to help establish and achieve their personal goals.

  • I teach/tutor using the Socratic Method – facilitating the students to let them find the answers based on what they already know by asking questions to lead them in the right direction, rather than simply giving an answer
  • I mostly tutor upper-level students (high school and college), but I love working with children and have lots of experience in one-on-one tutoring and teaching elementary and middle-school aged children
  • I’m well-experienced with neurodiverse students, including working with those diagnosed with ADHD, Dyslexia, color blindness, ASD, injury recovery, and more
  • My students have achieved 5s on AP tests from being on the brink of dropping out, perfect scores on SAT subject tests, improved SAT test scores by hundreds of points, and earned positions in 90+ percentiles of scoring

I needed some very specific insight about biology and drug discovery for my job. Daniel was so helpful and knowledgeable. He know everything! It was fun and relaxed for me to ask all of my questions, no matter how basic. Thank you Daniel!

He has been working with my daughter — a junior in hs — for this semester and has given her much confidence and increased ability in the subject. She looks forward to the sessions and grades have definitely gone up!

I am a master’s student struggling with a molecular biology class. Daniel is extremely patient with my many questions. He is able to clearly explain the topics I am struggling with and has very helpful analogies. Highly recommend!!

Daniel helped my daughter understand concepts in Honors Chemistry that have been very difficult for her to grasp. He is extremely positive and encouraging, and actually held her attention for the entire hour long session!

Reviewed molecular biology techniques and math concepts. I am very pleased and would like to continue with his tutoring services in the future. He is patient and cares to dumb down concepts into manageable information pieces without making you feel ashamed.

Daniel took his time to do a math assessment for my 12-year-old son. I received the areas of focus and good suggestions to establish a practice routine for my son.

Daniel helped me with 10th grade Chemistry Honors. He is great in explaining and communicating so I can understand and learn what I need to do well in my chemistry class. He helped me in just 2 hours to gain comfort and ability to handle my material.

Daniel arrived early, assessed my son’s needs and presented information in a clear concise manner. Kind and polite too. Looking forward to next time.

Daniel C was amazing and I knocked out my quiz! I had been struggling with the concepts for a few days and I was able to have a brief session with daniel and I understood everything, thanks so much!

He is a great and fun teacher and definitely helped clarify my struggles in bio. Would definitely do more sessions amazing teacher overall can’t say that enough.

Daniel really knows the subject matter and is able to communicate it well using clear, real-life, examples to help me understand the concepts. He is always on time, always patient, and always nice. Daniel has helped me with Honors Organic Chemistry and with AP Physics and I have a solid A in both classes.

Went over terminology for logic, reasoning, proofs, and theorems, establishing a strong foundation for upcoming geometry year in a warm engaging manner.
